Legal — Refund Policy

When we refund.

Last updated: 22 April 2026

Our approach is simple: we'd rather you not be charged for something you don't want than keep money you regret paying. This policy explains when and how you can get a refund.

14-day trial — no card charged

Every new company gets 14 days of full access to Kanta before any charge is made. If you cancel during the trial, nothing is billed to your card. This is the cleanest way to try Kanta without risk — there's no refund to request because no charge happens.

After the trial ends

When your trial converts to a paid subscription, we charge the monthly fee. Here's what refunds look like from that point:

  • Within 7 days of your first charge: we'll refund in full on request, no questions asked. Email us and we'll process it.
  • After 7 days: we don't typically refund. Your cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period, and you keep access until then.
  • Service failures: if we had an outage or significant issue that affected your ability to use Kanta, we'll credit or refund the affected period on a case-by-case basis.
  • Accidental double charge: always refunded. Email us with the transaction details.

How to request a refund

Email support@getkanta.app with:

  • The email address on your Kanta account
  • The approximate date of the charge you want refunded
  • A brief reason (helps us improve — not a gatekeeping question)

Expect a reply within one business day. Approved refunds are processed through Xendit and typically appear on your statement within 5–10 business days, depending on your bank.

What doesn't get refunded

  • Charges for periods more than 30 days past
  • Partial-month refunds for mid-cycle cancellations (you keep access until period end)
  • Accounts terminated for violations of our Terms of Service (non-payment, abuse, illegal use)
  • Bank fees, currency conversion charges, or other fees added by your card issuer — we can't refund what we didn't receive

Cancellation ≠ refund

Cancelling your subscription stops future charges. It does not automatically refund past charges. If you want a refund for a charge, email us separately.

Disputes

If you disagree with a charge, please email us before filing a chargeback with your bank. Chargebacks cost us time and money even when we'd have refunded willingly. We'll always try to resolve directly first.
